Job SummaryWe're seeking a qualified pharmacist to join our team in a PRN capacity. As a pharmacist with Synchrony Health Services, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our residents' medication management.
Key Responsibilities- Review and interpret physician orders, weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients to prepare medications
- Dispense medication by planning, implementing, or maintaining procedures for mixing, packaging, or labeling pharmaceuticals
- Assess the identity, strength, or purity of medications
- Assist in the maintenance of records, such as pharmacy files, patient profiles, charge system files, and inventories
- Control medications by monitoring drug therapies and advising interventions
- Manage the workflow processes, including pharmacist verification, labeling/packaging, quality assurance, and delivery
- Utilize computer systems to screen for drug interactions, therapeutic duplication, and other potential issues
- Provide pharmacological information to healthcare professionals and counsel patients on drug therapies
- Develop staff pharmacological knowledge by participating in clinical programs and training pharmacy staff
- Bachelor's of Science (B.S.) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Ph.D.) degree accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)
- North American Pharmacist Licensure Exam (NAPLEX) and Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Exam (MPJE) certifications
- Five (5) years' experience in a pharmacy environment, preferably in healthcare or senior living
- Exemplary computer skills, including knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
