Job Summary

We're seeking a qualified pharmacist to join our team in a PRN capacity. As a pharmacist with Synchrony Health Services, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and safety of our residents' medication management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review and interpret physician orders, weighing, measuring, and mixing ingredients to prepare medications
  • Dispense medication by planning, implementing, or maintaining procedures for mixing, packaging, or labeling pharmaceuticals
  • Assess the identity, strength, or purity of medications
  • Assist in the maintenance of records, such as pharmacy files, patient profiles, charge system files, and inventories
  • Control medications by monitoring drug therapies and advising interventions
  • Manage the workflow processes, including pharmacist verification, labeling/packaging, quality assurance, and delivery
  • Utilize computer systems to screen for drug interactions, therapeutic duplication, and other potential issues
  • Provide pharmacological information to healthcare professionals and counsel patients on drug therapies
  • Develop staff pharmacological knowledge by participating in clinical programs and training pharmacy staff
Requirements
  • Bachelor's of Science (B.S.) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Ph.D.) degree accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE)
  • North American Pharmacist Licensure Exam (NAPLEX) and Multistate Pharmacy Jurisprudence Exam (MPJE) certifications
  • Five (5) years' experience in a pharmacy environment, preferably in healthcare or senior living
  • Exemplary computer skills, including knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
