We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Certified Nurse Anesthetist to join our team at Houston Methodist Specialty Physician Group. As a Traveling Nurse Anesthetist, you will provide high-quality anesthesia care to patients undergoing cardiac, thoracic, and major vascular surgery.
Key Responsibilities- Provide pre-anesthesia, anesthesia, and post-anesthesia services in a clinical, research, and academic environment.
- Participate in research activities and educational programs for nurse anesthesia students.
- Collaborate with the interprofessional healthcare team to manage and coordinate patient care.
- Implement department strategies to achieve financial targets and quality and safety initiatives.
- Develop and implement didactic and clinical curricula for nurse anesthesia students.
- Bachelor of Science degree or higher from an accredited School of Nursing.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, physicians, family members, and co-workers in a customer service-focused manner.
- Ability to function independently and exercise judgment in interactions with physicians, interprofessional care team, and patients and their families.
- Sound clinical knowledge of technology and treatment applications.
- In-depth knowledge of current anesthesia practices, pharmacology, and anesthetic equipment.
May require travel within the Houston Metropolitan area.
