POSITION SUMMARY

The Robotics Automation Specialist role is critical in enhancing operational efficiency through innovative automation solutions. This position focuses on the integration of advanced manufacturing technologies and the optimization of existing systems. The specialist will collaborate with production teams, equipment vendors, and design engineers to streamline processes and ensure effective implementation of automated systems.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

This role encompasses a variety of tasks, including but not limited to:
  • Developing and executing automation strategies to improve productivity.
  • Diagnosing and resolving technical issues in automated systems.
  • Overseeing software control for robotic systems.
  • Preparing proposals for new equipment, including design and training documentation.
  • Conducting safety training sessions related to robotic operations.
  • Managing the procurement of machine parts and tools for robotic applications.
  • Facilitating training programs for technicians on robotic systems.
  • Coordinating service visits and maintenance for robotic arms.
  • Creating troubleshooting guides for technical staff.

QUALIFICATIONS

Essential Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics, Industrial/Manufacturing, Aerospace Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Computer Science/Software Engineering from an accredited institution.
  • Authorization to work in the United States is required; verification will be conducted at the time of hiring.
Desirable Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in robotics control and programming.
  • Familiarity with Motoman robotics or similar robotic programming platforms.
  • Experience in engineering or manufacturing settings.
  • Knowledge of 6-axis robotic systems.
  • Proficient in robot programming, I/O management, and troubleshooting logic systems.
  • Experience with mechanical systems troubleshooting, including pneumatics and tooling.
  • Proficiency in industrial ladder logic programming.
  • Experience with Wonderware HMI software and industrial controllers.
  • Understanding of control systems and servo mechanisms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
