Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our team at the Cuyahoga County Board of Developmental Disabilities. As an Early Intervention Physical Therapist, you will play a critical role in promoting optimal levels of function for individuals with developmental disabilities and those eligible for our services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform physical therapy screenings and assessments to individuals in various settings, using record review, interview, observation, and selected assessment instruments as appropriate.
  • Provide physical therapy services, including intervention, consultation, instruction, assistive technology, and support services as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members, caregivers, families, and community agencies to make recommendations for and carry out services and supports.
  • Monitor and update programs on a regular basis, and complete appropriate documentation.
  • Provide direction to the Equipment Assistant, as well as direction and clinical supervision for Physical Therapy Students and Physical Therapy Assistant Students.
Requirements
  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist by the State of Ohio.
  • Specific training in developmental disabilities desirable.
  • Valid driver's license and a driving record that is insurable under the agency policy.
