About the Position

Umpqua Community College is seeking a highly qualified Part-Time Faculty member to teach in the Criminal Justice program. As a faculty member, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality instruction, assessing student learning, and contributing to the development of the program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Teach courses in the Criminal Justice program, including introductory and advanced courses
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with program goals and outcomes
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students
  • Participate in program and departmental meetings and activities
  • Contribute to the development of the program, including curriculum development and program assessment
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Criminal Justice or a related field
  • At least 3 years of experience teaching in a higher education setting
  • Experience teaching online or in a hybrid format
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ph.D. in Criminal Justice or a related field
  • Experience teaching in a community college setting
  • Experience with curriculum development and program assessment
  • Strong knowledge of adult learning theory and instructional design
