Nuclear Medicine Technologists prepare, measure, and administer radiopharmaceuticals to detect and treat disease under the supervision of a physician. They provide patient care and technical skills in the operation of nuclear medicine equipment for diagnostic and evaluation purposes.
Responsibilities- Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes
- Operate nuclear medicine equipment for diagnostic and evaluation purposes
- Provide patient care and technical skills in the operation of nuclear medicine equipment
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure accurate and effective treatment
- Bachelor's degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology or related field
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification or NMTCB (Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board) certification
- 2 years of experience in nuclear medicine technology
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
