Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Postpartum/Nursery team at Williamson Health. This is an exciting opportunity to provide high-quality obstetric, neonatal, and gynecologic care in a dynamic and patient-centered environment.


About the Role

As a Postpartum Nurse Specialist, you will play a vital role in supporting families through education, emotional support, and superior medical and nursing care. Your commitment to holistic patient needs will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients and their loved ones.


Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments on all patients within the appropriate time frame, utilizing observation, communication, and examination skills.
  • Plan individualized patient care, identifying problems/needs, nursing diagnosis, standards of care/practice, interventions consistent with identified problems, and attainable outcomes.
  • Provide exceptional patient teaching, discharge, and post-discharge planning tailored to each patient's unique needs.
  • Independently manage treatments, procedures, and equipment in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
  • Accurately and timely document patient information.
  • Reassess patient conditions, evaluate responses, and modify care plans as needed.
  • Accept charge responsibilities and assign staff considering patient acuity and care requirements.

Requirements
  • Licensed by the State of Tennessee.
  • Earned a nursing diploma or degree from a college or university.
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
  • At least one year of perinatal experience preferred.
  • NRP certification within six months of hire.
  • ACLS certification or willingness to obtain within six months of hire.
  • Able to function effectively in stressful situations.
  • Able to return to work within one hour when on call.

Estimated Salary

$80,000 - $120,000 per year, depending on experience.
