LPN Medication Care Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled LPN Medication Care Manager to join our team at Sunrise Senior Living. As a Medication Care Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest quality of care for our residents by administering medications and treatments in a safe and organized manner.
Key Responsibilities- Medication Administration: Administer medications and treatments to residents in accordance with their individualized care plans and medication administration records.
- Documentation and Communication: Accurately document medication administration and maintain accurate records, ensuring that all relevant information is communicated to the Resident Care Director and other healthcare team members.
- Medication Management: Receive and review medication updates from the Resident Care Director or Wellness Nurse, and ensure that medications are passed according to scheduled times.
- Resident Care: Provide resident care while promoting dignity and physical safety, adhering to the Sunrise Principles of Service.
- Risk Management and General Safety: Partner with the community team to ensure compliance with OSHA and British Columbia Workers Compensation Act requirements, promoting Risk Management programs and policies, and adhering to safety rules and regulations.
- LPN License: Must be a licensed LPN or LVN with a current nursing license in good standing.
- Certifications: Must maintain certifications in CPR and First Aid, and complete ongoing training and re-education as required by Sunrise and state/provincial regulations.
- Experience: Previous experience working with seniors is preferred.
- Skills: Ability to make choices and decisions, react and remain calm in difficult situations, handle multiple priorities, possess written and verbal skills for effective communication, and demonstrate good judgment, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
