Job Description:
- Provide high-quality images through the operation of specialized equipment.
- Perform sophisticated special procedures ensuring optimum clarity for physician diagnosis.
- Minimize discomfort and radiation exposure to patients.
- Operate interventional equipment and utilize supplies, understand diagnostic radiographic principles, including film/imaging processing and quality control.
- Execute procedures such as mesenteric angios, cerebral angios, embolizations, carotid stenting, aneurysm repair, stroke interventions, port a caths, neph tubes, gall bladder drains, vertebroplasty, epidurals, transjugular liver biopsy, Y90s, IVC filters, pleural drains.
- Utilize EPIC EMR, Acudose medication dispensing unit, Siemens Biplane, Philips Biplane, and GE Single Plane equipment.
- Work independently with necessary on-call nights and weekends.
- Adhere to hospital-provided scrubs dress code.
- Complete 12 weeks of orientation, depending on experience.
- Participate in training and orientation specific to unit/department.
- Work in 2 Biplane IR suites and 1 Single plane IR suite.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality patient care through the operation of specialized equipment.
- Collaborate with physicians to ensure optimal diagnostic clarity.
- Implement radiation safety protocols to minimize patient exposure.
- Operate interventional equipment and manage supplies according to established principles.
- Perform a range of procedures, including vascular interventions, embolizations, and biopsies.
- Utilize electronic medical records and medication dispensing systems.
- Work independently, with on-call responsibilities and adherence to hospital dress code.
- Participate in ongoing training and orientation.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of IR experience, with Neuro IR background preferred.
- ARRT certification and BLS through AHA.
- Ability to work independently, with on-call responsibilities.
- Adherence to hospital-provided scrubs dress code.
