Job Summary:

Soliant is seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team and assist students in overcoming speech and language barriers to achieve academic and personal success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech, language, and communication challenges in students
  • Create personalized treatment plans based on individual student needs
  • Deliver direct speech and language therapy to students individually and in small groups
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to monitor student progress
  • Maintain detailed records of assessments, treatment plans, and student advancements
  • Participate in team meetings to address student requirements
  • Carry out regular screenings and offer consultations as necessary
  • Keep updated on field advancements and apply best practices
  • Provide training and support to school staff on speech and language development

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active Speech-Language Pathology license in Maine
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA
  • Maine Department of Education certification for Speech-Language Pathologists
  • Familiarity with IDEA and other relevant special education legislation
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Effective teamwork skills
  • Preference for school setting experience

Required Licensure and Certifications:

  • Maine State License: Valid Speech-Language Pathology license in Maine
  • ASHA Certification: Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Maine Department of Education Certification: Certification for Speech-Language Pathologists
