**Job Opportunity: Clinical Social Worker for Behavioral Health Services**

The Emerson Hospital is currently seeking a compassionate Clinical Social Worker to provide family assessment, support, and intervention for psychiatric and addictions inpatients. The role involves coordinating disposition plans and making necessary aftercare referrals for patients. Additionally, the Clinical Social Worker may offer clinical supervision to students if appropriately licensed, operating under the supervision of the Manager of Operations, Behavioral Health Services, and ensuring the social services provided meet the needs of the patient and their family within the Interdisciplinary team.

  • **Minimum Qualifications**
  • **Education**
    • A Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) from an accredited graduate school of social work is required.
  • **Experience**
    • At least 2 years of experience in clinical social work practice is required, which can include appropriately related fieldwork.
  • **Licensure and/or Certification**
    • Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) is preferred.
    • BLS healthcare provider certification is required.
    • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) certification is required.
    • Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification is required within 3 months of hire.
  • **Skills**
    • Competence and experience in clinical practice.
    • Ability to conduct and document Psychosocial Assessments.
    • Knowledge of psychiatric terminology, DSM IV criteria, basics of Psycho-pharmacology; knowledge of requirements for mandated reporting, and of hospital and community policies and resources.
    • Effective communication skills.
    • Computer skills.
    • The ability to read, write, and communicate in English is required.
    • Ability to maintain confidential information.
