This role is essential for contributing to a contract support team that provides expert advice, conducts data analysis, and develops key products and deliverables related to Navy Working Capital Fund (NWCF) inventory audit readiness. The goal of this initiative is to enhance inventory management processes and bolster accountability and auditability in alignment with ongoing audit efforts.

Key Responsibilities

The following outlines the primary functions associated with this position, though additional duties may be assigned as necessary:

  • Analyze, develop, and provide guidance on NWCF products and deliverables.
  • Gather critical documentation, data, and actions pertinent to the execution of the NAVSUP inventory strategy; compile and present individual site inspection findings.
  • Identify and document any inventory discrepancies.
  • Engage with stakeholders to ascertain business requirements, processes, and risks, including code variances, while collaborating with leadership.
  • Offer recommendations to NAVSUP personnel for enhancing inventory management and control practices.
  • Facilitate workshops to define, finalize, and validate business requirements.
  • Document and implement customer requirements, explore potential solutions, and identify associated risks.
  • Prepare and complete all necessary documentation in accordance with relevant guidelines.
  • Translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions.
  • Assist in testing and analyzing inventory controls, identifying deficiencies, and formulating remediation strategies.
  • Recognize and document process and functional gaps, as well as opportunities for performance enhancement within the NAVSUP Supply Chain.
  • Evaluate proposed changes using data-driven decision-making methodologies.
  • Keep leadership informed about project progress, scope deviations, and any risks to timelines or deliverables.
Qualifications

Skills and Competencies: The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is required. Candidates should be self-driven, capable of presenting technical information clearly, adept at problem-solving, and able to manage multiple tasks effectively. Exceptional oral and written communication skills are essential, along with a collaborative team-oriented mindset.

Education and Experience: A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is preferred, or 3-5 years of equivalent experience. Relevant experience includes:

  • 3-5 years of logistics experience within the Department of Defense (Navy).

Security Clearance: This position necessitates access to military installations. Candidates must be U.S. Citizens and must successfully pass a background investigation to qualify for base access. A SECRET clearance is required.

Physical Requirements: The successful candidate must be able to meet the following physical demands of the role with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with hands, wrists, and fingers.
