Job Overview:
Adheres to established departmental protocols for imaging procedures unless directed otherwise by the Radiologist.
Collects and records patient history and relevant information in designated systems, ensuring accurate patient identification in accordance with National Patient Safety Goals.
Confirms and executes the physician's written directives.Generates high-quality diagnostic images for evaluation, ensuring proper positioning, technique, and image alignment.
Effectively responds to emergency situations.
Maintains infection control standards specific to patient care.
Engages and communicates with other departments in a professional manner.
Exhibits understanding of the safety, health, and ethical needs of patients and colleagues by taking proactive measures to address those needs.
Plans care delivery based on patient injuries or physical limitations.
Operates medical imaging equipment safely and correctly.
Demonstrates awareness of Radiation Safety protocols for self and others.
Restocks and replaces supplies in the assigned area as necessary.
Ensures imaging equipment is in optimal condition by performing warm-up procedures.
Adheres to departmental standards for reporting equipment issues or malfunctions.
Conducts precise procedures in the operating room.
Assists the Radiologist during fluoroscopic examinations.
Performs quality bedside radiographs.
Accurately prepares and aids in the administration of contrast materials.
Undertakes additional responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
ARRT registry (or must pass boards within 180 days of hire)
Basic Life Support (BLS)
Technical School/2 Years College / Associate's Degree
