Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Custodian to join our team at Washoe County School District. As a key member of our facilities management team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our schools and buildings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the work of custodial staff to ensure efficient and effective cleaning and maintenance of school facilities.
  • Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Conduct regular inspections of school facilities to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless operations and effective communication.
  • Provide training and guidance to custodial staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Manage and maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment.
  • Perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks as needed.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in custodial work or a related field.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to lift and move heavy objects.
