Job Summary:

As a Coatings Specialist at Handyman Connection, you will be responsible for preparing various surfaces for painting by washing, scraping, burning, sanding, sandblasting or other means as necessary. Your expertise in mixing, matching and blending various paints, enamels, lacquers, varnishes, stains and special protective coatings will be essential in delivering high-quality results. You will work with a range of applicators, including brushes, rollers and spray guns, to ensure a smooth and even finish.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, scraping and sanding as necessary
• Mix and match paints, enamels, lacquers, varnishes, stains and special protective coatings
• Apply paints using brushes, rollers and spray guns
• Work with a range of materials, including wood, metal and drywall
• Maintain a safe and organized workspace

Requirements:

• 1+ years of experience in painting and coatings
• Strong knowledge of painting techniques and materials
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Physical stamina to lift and move heavy equipment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
