Department Highlights

Position Overview

The Good Samaritan Society is looking for a compassionate and flexible Certified Nursing Assistant to provide care across various locations. This role offers the opportunity to travel locally while delivering quality care, competitive compensation, and the benefit of no contractual commitments. Responsibilities include assisting with essential health care needs and daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and recording vital signs. The CNA will also provide emotional support and personal care to residents.

Key responsibilities include:
  • Assisting residents with mobility and transfers using proper techniques
  • Facilitating a positive dining experience by assisting with meals and snacks
  • Documenting resident interactions and care outcomes
  • Communicating changes in residents' conditions to nursing staff
  • Providing housekeeping and laundry services to maintain cleanliness
  • Encouraging participation in wellness and recreational programs

Qualifications

Preferred qualifications include a high school diploma or GED. Candidates must be at least 16 years old and possess a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification or be in the process of obtaining it. Training and certification will be provided by the facility. Annual continuing education of at least 12 hours is required to maintain competencies.
