MCC is currently in search of a Mechanical Assembly Specialist. The selected individual will be tasked with assembling and/or repairing products utilizing hand tools, power tools, and lifting equipment. As a mechanical assembly specialist, your duties will encompass interpreting engineering designs to construct products, often collaborating with a team, and conducting quality assurance checks on the finished items.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Assemble equipment using hand and power tools according to engineering specifications and guidelines.
  2. Install, repair, inspect, reassemble, replace, refit, and adjust components as necessary.
  3. Ensure thorough cleaning of all parts following established protocols.
  4. Conduct precision calibration and advanced adjustments using testing instruments.
  5. Perform product and performance testing, documenting the outcomes.
  6. Execute final inspections and adjustments to identify and rectify defects, ensuring high-quality standards.
  7. Develop assembly and testing procedures to facilitate the production of quality products.
  8. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
  9. Operate heavy machinery and equipment as required for essential duties.
  10. Work safely with hazardous materials and in various environments, including heights and confined spaces.
  11. Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record in accordance with company policy.
  12. Exhibit a constant state of alertness and adhere to safety protocols.
  13. Regular attendance and punctuality are critical for effective job performance.
  14. Complete additional tasks as assigned.

Environmental and Physical Requirements

  • Exposure to diverse outdoor conditions, loud noises, dust, toxic substances, and varying fumes or odors; navigate slippery or uneven surfaces; and work in ditches or excavations.
  • Ability to work at heights, including ladders, scaffolds, and rooftops, as well as in confined spaces beneath structures.
  • Must be capable of lifting up to 75 lbs.
  • Ability to perform manual and repetitive tasks, including standing or walking for extended periods, bending, stooping, climbing, reaching, pulling, pushing, lifting, and carrying.
  • Adaptability to changing demands and priorities while completing job duties proficiently.
  • Maintain a constant state of alertness and focus for prolonged periods to ensure safety in task execution.

Safety Considerations

This position is classified as safety-sensitive due to the responsibilities involving vehicle operation, heavy machinery maintenance, and handling hazardous materials in various environments. A lapse in attention could lead to serious consequences. Therefore, it is imperative that the employee maintains a constant state of alertness and concentration.
