Job Title: Plant Quality Manager

This is a challenging role that requires a strong analytical mind and excellent communication skills. As a Plant Quality Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and improving overall plant quality through the implementation of process quality systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain plant quality systems, including inspection and test methods, work instructions, procedures, product specs, GMPs, Food Safety Compliance, and Best Practices.
  • Develop and drive continuous improvement initiatives in plant quality and supplier quality.
  • Ensure quality system adherence and product integrity is maintained.
  • Lead plant root cause and corrective action investigations for customer complaints and internal quality nonconformances.
  • Audit implementation of corrective actions for customer complaints and internal quality nonconformances.
  • Coordinate with Metal North America Commercial, Product Development, Quality, and Engineering regarding new business and product trials.
  • Responsible for accurate and timely resolution of all supplier defective material claims.
  • Track the HFI system, including balance, disposition, re-work, and inventory levels.
  • Ensure plant quality procedures are up to date and followed.
  • Communicate quality objectives (KPIs) with floor personnel and develop processes to promote compliance.
  • Direct supervision of plant personnel; may vary by location.
Requirements:
  • Strong analytical, computer, and communication skills.
  • Driven and energetic.
  • Able to solve complex problems outside of normal processes.
  • Ability to work with all levels of personnel.
  • Bachelor's degree in technical or relevant discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years experience in manufacturing.
  • 4 years quality experience.
  • Excellent management/leadership aptitude.
  • Black or Green Belt Certification (preferred).
  • Food Safety (BRC/SQF) and HACCP certification (preferred).
  • Experience with can manufacturing improvement methods implementation (preferred).
