Job Summary:

The Radiation Therapy Specialist performs therapeutic radiation procedures as ordered by a physician to assist in the treatment of cancer and other patients. This role requires age-specific care and attention to detail to ensure accurate placement of custom blocking devices and subsequent alignment with marked patient anatomy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and resolve treatment-related problems using available resources
  • Assist other members of the treatment team
  • Promote professional relationships with colleagues and foster constructive approaches to treatment operations

Requirements:

  • Associate's Degree or completion of an accredited Radiation Therapy Technology Program
  • Two years of professional experience
  • National American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) in Radiation Therapy certification
  • California State Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) in Radiation Therapy certification
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
