Job Summary:

As a Unit Coordinator on our Geriatric Psychiatric Care unit, you will provide technical assistance to the nursing staff and perform various computer, clerical, scheduling, and supply functions necessary for the operation of a 16-bed unit. This role supports clinical staff with 15-min checks and continuous ligature rounds when possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical assistance to nursing staff
  • Perform computer, clerical, scheduling, and supply functions
  • Support clinical staff with 15-min checks and continuous ligature rounds

Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
  • Knowledge of medical terminology, preferred

Education and Experience:

  • High School Diploma
  • Minimum one-year working experience in clerical roles, with computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology required

Certification/Licensure:

  • BLS Certification required by DMH

Software/Hardware:

  • Meditech
