About the Role

As a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer, Innovation, you will be part of a small, agile team focused on building new ideas and technologies from the ground up. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to transform strategic ideas into working prototypes, developing end-to-end solutions that combine front-end and back-end components.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you will be able to work on 0 to 1 and beyond projects, experimenting, validating, and delivering scalable, user-centered applications. You will be part of a collaborative, flexible environment that values agility, resourcefulness, and innovation over rigid processes.

Panasonic Well offers a hybrid workplace model, allowing for flexibility and work-life balance. Local employees are expected to come into the office on Mondays and Wednesdays, with optional remote work on other days. Fully remote employment may be available for select positions.

What You'll Get To Do
  • Work closely with the Innovation team and collaborate with cross-functional teams to transform strategic ideas into working prototypes.
  • Develop end-to-end solutions, building both front-end and back-end components of innovative products.
  • Participate in early-stage ideation, rapidly iterating on concepts to build functional proofs of concept.
  • Use your full stack development skills to experiment, validate, and deliver scalable, user-centered applications.
  • Engage in a flexible, collaborative working environment, with opportunities to influence the long-term technical vision of projects.
  • Be part of a 'scrappy' team that values agility, resourcefulness, and innovation over rigid processes.
  • Contribute to all phases of software development, including ideation, prototyping, design, and production.
  • Collaborate on new architectures and components, working with technical leadership and other engineers.
  • Plan software releases and release schedules.
  • Interact with Product Management to refine product requirements, working efficiently in a cross-functional team across multiple projects.
  • Understand and identify bottlenecks across the system, evaluating performance using standard performance tools.
What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience working on functional programming languages, specifically JavaScript or Python.
  • Must-have skills: Solid understanding of front-end technologies, specifically web technologies like React or Vue, and thorough knowledge of.
  • Strong fullstack engineering skills and the ability to build, experiment, and iterate on ideas quickly.
  • Comfort working in fast-moving, ambiguous environments where projects and priorities can shift rapidly.
  • A collaborative, flexible mindset and the ability to self-manage in an Incubator-like environment.
  • Experience building systems end-to-end, from front-end interfaces to back-end services.
  • Nice-to-have skills: Mobile experience with Flutter is a big plus. React Native experience also notable.
  • Strong fundamentals on SLDC such as code reviews and CI/CD systems.
  • Track record of working successfully with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with highly concurrent, highly available, and highly fault-tolerant distributed systems.
  • Proven track record of shipping services in production environments with low latency.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.
  • Ability to be self-guided and come up with technical approaches even with limited requirements.
