Job Summary

The Depot Supervisor will oversee and manage all activities within assigned depot, providing leadership to depot employees and utilizing the principles of Lean Manufacturing/5S to organize the workplace, reveal problems, and sustain improvements in quality, productivity, safety, and cost.

Key Responsibilities
  • Performance Metrics
    • Ensure accurate reporting of all KPIs and other metrics.
    • Monitor and maintain job-specific metrics, including damage rate, components per repair, and repair index.
  • Depot Operations
    • Direct and supervise depot operations to ensure the safety of employees and adherence to required KPIs.
    • Work with Team Leaders to develop and implement strategies for improving overall adherence to SOPs and other PECO and Depot Policies & Procedures.
  • Quality and Safety
    • Spearhead the elimination of defects by working with repair operators, Autosort operator, and others to implement permanent corrective actions.
    • Improve plant floor performance and morale through hands-on involvement, training procedures with operators, and other floor personnel.
  • Workforce Optimization
    • Optimize the utilization of the workforce on the floor, decreasing the need for headcount while making jobs easier for employees by utilizing the principles of Lean Manufacturing.
  • Safety and Compliance
    • Maintain a safe facility and adherence to safety protocols, overseeing the plant's safety program by monitoring compliance with federal, state, and plant required safety rules and regulations.
    • Conduct regular floor audits to ensure a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Employee Morale and Development
    • Drive and champion employee morale as a key performance metric to minimize employee turnover and absenteeism.
    • Perform other duties as needed and assigned, including process training, auditing, new hire training, and captain for dispersal of quality materials.

Education
  • Graduation from an accredited high school or General Education Development (GED).
  • Certification in relevant areas, e.g. Lean Manufacturing, OSHA, Safety, etc. preferred.
Work Conditions
  • Manufacturing environment.
  • Work is performed in an indoor fast-paced production environment.
  • Ability to stand for long periods.
  • Ability to lift 65lbs pallets repeatedly.
  • Ability to work overtime as needed.
