We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Rapid Response team at HCA Florida Brandon Hospital. As a critical care nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working closely with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate the care of critically ill patients
- Instruct patients and families regarding medications and treatment instructions
- Maintain and review patients' records, including posting tests and examination results
- Administer medications in accordance with physician orders
- Licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or appropriate compact licensure
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred
- Previous critical care and/or rapid response team experience in an acute care setting is strongly preferred
- Current American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- American Heart Association ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications are required within 6 months of hire/transfer
- Current NIHSS (National Institute of Health Stroke Scale) certification required within 6 months of hire/transfer
- Applicable national board certification required within 6 months of exam eligibility
HCA Florida Brandon Hospital is a 400-bed acute care hospital in Brandon, FL, offering a range of services including a heart & vascular center, behavioral health center, and women's center. Our women's center includes a 36-bed neonatal intensive care unit. We have a reflux center and a bariatric center, and are dedicated to quality and devoted to our community.
