Henrico Doctors' Hospital Forest is seeking a skilled Endoscopy Registered Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare family, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to our hospital's commitment to excellence.
Job SummaryThe Endoscopy Registered Nurse is responsible for pre and post-operative care of surgical and endoscopy patients, including those with gynecological conditions, plastic and reconstructive, urology, and colonoscopy patients. You will demonstrate a high level of technical and operational expertise in performing Endoscopy procedures, assessing and monitoring acute and chronic pain patients during procedures, and maintaining accurate documentation to ensure accountability and precise charging.
Responsibilities- Initiate and document patient teaching, including family and/or significant others
- Maintain radiation safety during endoscopy and pain procedures
- Reprocess endoscopes, accessories, and automatic washers
- Anticipate and maintain adequate inventory of supplies and medications while controlling costs and eliminating waste
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
- Current Registered Nurse license in Virginia or a compact license
- Current BLS, PALS, & ACLS certification
