Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled Home Health Physical Therapist Assistant to join our team at Resilient Healthcare. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated professional to make a meaningful impact in the lives of our patients.
About the Role:
- Prepare engaging exercises and activities to use during physical therapy sessions with patients, ensuring a personalized approach to meet their unique needs.
- Provide expert counseling and consultations for new patients, their family members, and caregivers, fostering open communication and trust.
- Collaborate closely with physical therapists to develop and implement effective treatment plans, setting clear goals and objectives for patients.
- Assist in direct patient care according to established plans of care, providing exceptional support and attention to detail.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment by preparing equipment and exam rooms, adhering to strict sterilization and safety procedures.
- Review patient files prior to appointments, ensuring a thorough understanding of their challenges and needs.
- Document patient progress and outcomes in a timely and accurate manner, maintaining confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA guidelines.
- Pursue ongoing education and training to stay current with industry developments and advancements, enhancing your skills and expertise.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A valid License as a Physical Therapy Assistant in the State of Texas.
- Proficiency in commonly used computer software for documentation and report preparation.
- An Associate degree in Physical Therapy or a related field.
- Demonstrated knowledge and commitment to HIPAA legislation and other patient privacy laws.
- Experience working with sensitive patient records and information.
- The ability to troubleshoot common software and hardware issues related to speech pathology tools.
- Excellent physical endurance and stamina, with the ability to work primarily in a standing position and lift up to 50 pounds.
- A friendly and professional demeanor when interacting with patients, family members, and staff.
- Attention to detail and accountability when handling and documenting important medical information.
