Job Title: Practice Manager

At Heartland Veterinary Partners LLC, we are committed to delivering exceptional veterinary care and services to our clients. As a Practice Manager, you will play a vital role in ensuring the success of our veterinary practice.

Job Summary:

The Practice Manager is responsible for managing all essential business functions in the veterinary practice, including financial management, human resources, and operations. This role requires strong leadership and business acumen, with the ability to drive revenue growth, manage expenses, and ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and laws.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive revenue growth through effective business strategies and tactics
  • Manage expenses, including labor, facility costs, and supplies
  • Develop and maintain salary schedules and job evaluations for all employees
  • Provide input on the annual budget and ensure financial stability
  • Triage in-house human resource issues and collaborate with the Heartland Human Resources team
  • Establish and execute performance evaluations for team members
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and laws, including OSHA, DEA, EEOC, ADA, and the Department of Labor
  • Partner with the Managing Doctor (MDVM) to ensure high-quality patient care and exceptional client service
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous management experience required
  • Previous veterinary medicine experience preferred
  • Ability to work on weekends when needed
  • Computer skills, MS office applications, etc.
  • Basic math and ability to calculate medication dosages
  • Strong communication skills to ensure patient safety
