SPED Teacher

Empowering Learners with Special Needs

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate SPED teacher to join our team at ProCare Therapy in Dekalb, IL.

About the Role:

• Create engaging lesson plans and develop Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) that cater to the diverse needs of students with disabilities.
• Collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting student growth and development.
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that celebrates the achievements and progress of each student.

Requirements:

• Masters degree in Special Education is required, with certification in the state of Illinois.
• At least 1+ years of experience working with students with disabilities, preferably in a similar age group or target population.
• A strong foundation in life skills curriculum areas and knowledge of special education best practices.
• A passion for student success, a commitment to fostering independence, and a positive approach to working with individuals with disabilities.

Compensation and Benefits:

• $27-35 per hour, depending on experience.
