Job OverviewThis position is responsible for providing therapeutic recreation activities to persons served, infant to adult. You will evaluate and assess individual needs, develop and implement treatment plans, educate staff and families on therapeutic recreation techniques, and consult with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal outcomes.
About the RoleWe're looking for a highly skilled and compassionate professional to join our team. As a Professional Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, you'll work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care. Your expertise in therapeutic recreation will enable you to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients and their families.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree required in therapeutic recreation or a related field
- Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification or ability to become certified within 6 months
- Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS) certification from the National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification or eligible to obtain certification in less than 1 year

The salary for this position is $25.45 - $37.15 per hour, depending on experience. This role is located at the Miller Dwan Medical Center in Duluth, Minnesota. The shift rotation is day rotation, with varying start and end times. The hours per pay period are approximately 64 hours.
