Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Foreman to join our team at Radco Construction Inc. as a key member of our commercial roofing crew. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the installation of sheet metal projects, ensuring compliance with specifications, and leading the crew to achieve maximum productivity and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Execution: Ensure the precise execution of all sheet metal projects according to project packages, upholding safe work practices and compliance with relevant external standards.
  • Communication: Provide timely updates on project statuses, including work completion, time expended, encountered issues, and resources required for project completion to the Superintendent.
  • Crew Management: Manage and direct others in a positive manner, building skills, confidence, and effectiveness of crew members.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and actively work towards meeting production and quality objectives, maintaining a strong focus on delivering top-notch sheet metal installations.
  • Safety Protocols: Ensure the job site is maintained in a safe and organized manner, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.
  • Material Management: Prepare and submit accurate material and equipment requests in a timely manner to ensure project continuity.
  • Problem-Solving: Actively engage in problem-solving and troubleshooting to address issues that may arise during the project.
  • Reporting: Compile and submit daily reports summarizing project activities, progress, and any relevant information.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Proven ability to lead a commercial sheet metal roofing crew.
  • Industry Knowledge: Knowledge and experience with generally accepted industry roofing practices.
  • Safety Certification: Detailed knowledge of roofing safety requirements as outlined in OSHA regulations.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, details, and specifications.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: Good problem-solving skills and ability to plan ahead to avoid potential problems.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to carry and climb ladders, confidence on roof top, ability to take roof samples (cores), and to thoroughly document roof conditions, measurements, etc.
