Job Summary

The Senior Director of Family Support is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing Family Support programs focused on prevention and intervention in assigned geographical or agency circuit areas. This role provides guidance and direction to staff managing specific programs, ensuring compliance with all legal and contractual requirements. Additionally, the Senior Director is responsible for program budgets, meeting established metrics, and building relationships throughout the organization and community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with all provisions and requirements of contracts or program funders, as well as One More Child accreditation, agency, government, or legal standards.
  • Collaborate with the Executive Director to identify and pursue contracts and funding for prevention and intervention services.
  • Manage assigned program goals, work with reporting staff to achieve them, and provide support and guidance for success.
  • Maintain a cooperative working relationship with community agencies and other referral and funding sources, actively building additional relationships.
  • Represent One More Child in the community for engagements or events, as needed.
  • Plan, monitor, and evaluate the annual budget and monthly expenditures of assigned Support Programs, ensuring that program expenditures remain within budgeted allocations and that budgeted income is billed and received.
  • Oversee the collection of all available third-party payments and service fees in assigned geographical areas.
  • Provide relevant information or updates to the Executive Director, including metrics, program performance, staffing, professional development, or services.
  • Participate in continuing education opportunities, as assigned or approved.
Essential Supervisory Duties
  • Handle all aspects of staffing related to direct reports managing respective programs and teams in assigned areas of responsibility, such as hiring, coaching, evaluating, performance management, and leadership.
  • Ensure work is being performed in compliance with applicable contracts and guidelines.
  • Ensure budgets for individual departments are being met and aligned with Family Support's overall budget.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in social work, psychology, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • Four or more years of experience working with families in the child welfare system or high-risk population families.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two or more years of supervisory experience in a nonprofit setting.
  • Experience handling program oversight and budgeting responsibilities.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality with client and agency information.
  • Ability to complete required database documentation thoroughly and in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with other team members.
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to solve complex, practical problems and effectively deal with complex variables in situations where limited standardization exists.
  • Availability to work flexible hours, based on position needs.

  • Have had a personal conversion experience with Jesus Christ and been scripturally baptized.
  • Possess a sense of commitment to ministry through vocation.
  • Hold a sincere desire to seek God and His kingdom.
  • Demonstrate personal and devotional habits and practices such as Bible study, prayer, and daily meditation.
  • Be a member of a New Testament, evangelical Church in the local community and attend regularly.
  • Engage in witness activities as a normal part of life.
Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and talk or listen. The employee frequently is required to use hands to touch, handle, or feel. The employee is occasionally required to walk and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

This job requires the ability to work in at times stressful conditions, related to the high-risk population being served. The ability to lift up to 30 pounds (boxes, documents, and equipment) is also needed. Further, the employee is required to be able to drive throughout assigned areas.

Work Environment

Job activities are performed in the community and in a typical office environment, which may mean encountering weather. This position requires flexibility in scheduling and travel throughout the assigned county.
