Key Responsibilities- Appraisal Review and Approval: Review and approve complex real estate appraisals for USPAP compliance and value conclusion.
- Appraiser Panel Management: Manage the approved appraiser panel, which is periodically submitted to the Board for confirmation.
- Environmental Report Research: Research and compile environmental reports from outsourced vendors and monitor workflow through completion.
- Regulatory Compliance: Demonstrate compliance with all bank regulations for assigned job functions and apply to designated job responsibilities.
- Training and Development: Coach, mentor, or train others on appraisal issues, regulatory requirements, and valuation questions.
- Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as a subject matter expert and resource for credit and production on appraisal issues, regulatory requirements, and valuation questions.
- Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 10 to 12 years of related review appraisal experience.
- Licenses and Certifications: Must be a licensed or certified appraiser and have performed these functions for another FDIC or OCC-supervised bank or as a review specialist on a fee basis for lending institutions.
- Skills and Abilities: Advanced knowledge of appraisal policies, procedures, practices, and documentation. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective written and verbal communication. Organized and detailed, self-managing and self-motivated.
