The ideal candidate will be responsible for the creation and upkeep of various Kubernetes-based PaaS solutions across multiple classification tiers, automate service deployments, generate comprehensive documentation, and oversee the security and performance metrics of the platform and its deployed services. Our Cloud Operations Specialists are challenged to tackle complex issues for diverse clients, directly influencing the trajectory of software products and solutions utilized by these clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Implement and sustain essential services that support both on-premises and cloud-native architectures.
  • Collaborate with the Cybersecurity team to apply industry-leading practices for system hardening and configuration management.
  • Utilize automation best practices, such as Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and GitOps, to ensure repeatability and swift environment provisioning.
  • Manage and maintain Kubernetes platforms across various environments and classification levels.
  • Work in close partnership with development teams to facilitate onboarding processes.
  • Ensure that platforms and networks adhere to Department of Defense regulations.
  • Assist in planning for backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
  • Proficient in managing and operating within Linux and MacOS environments.
  • Comfortable executing commands and scripting across multiple operating systems.
  • Experience in configuring, deploying, and securing Kubernetes environments.
  • High School Diploma.
  • US Citizenship and an active Secret security clearance are mandatory.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages, including but not limited to: Bash, Python, Zsh, AppleScript, Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, Chef.
  • Experience in deploying and managing CNCF products in both on-premises and cloud settings.
  • Experience in developing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines on cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD automation tools like GitLab CI, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
  • Knowledge of security scanning tools such as SonarQube, OWASP-DC, Anchore, Claire, OPA, Fortify, Checkmarx, Synk, and OpenSCAP.
  • Experience in providing Identity Management services, including Single Sign-On (SSO) using OpenID Connect (OIDC) or SAML.
