POSITION SUMMARY:
The main duty of the Healthcare Security Specialist is to ensure a safe and secure atmosphere for medical personnel, patients, and visitors within the UVM Home Health, Inc. facilities.
Healthcare Security Specialists uphold institutional regulations, perform regular and spontaneous inspections of the premises, and respond promptly to both urgent and routine service requests.
This role also encompasses providing assistance to associated care facilities located on-site. The Healthcare Security Specialist reports directly to the Security Manager and/or the Director of Support Services.QUALIFICATIONS:
Completion of high school education or equivalent required.
PROFESSIONAL BACKGROUND:
Previous experience in law enforcement or security is highly desirable.
Experience in a healthcare security setting is also greatly preferred.
