Your Responsibilities:
As a vital member of our team, you will:

  • Collaborate with various teams to enhance service delivery and reliability throughout their lifecycle.
  • Monitor and measure all production systems, focusing on availability, latency, and overall system health.
  • Investigate the root causes of errors and instability in our cloud services, driving teams towards improved operational excellence.
  • Engage with product and platform teams to advocate for changes that enhance reliability, resilience, and observability.
  • Identify and minimize toil through innovative solutions and automation.
  • Participate in on-call duties as required.

Qualifications:
We are looking for candidates who possess:

  • Extensive experience in enterprise-scale continuous delivery environments.
  • A minimum of 8 years in a DevOps or SRE role.
  • Proficiency in development within a Linux/Mac environment.
  • Experience with Configuration Management Tools such as Terraform (preferred), Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
  • A background in sustainable incident response within a blameless culture.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (preferably AWS) and container orchestration technologies.
  • Experience with APM and observability tools like New Relic, Splunk, CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana/Kibana, Sentry, etc.
  • Strong Linux Systems Engineering skills.
  • Experience with incident response tools such as PagerDuty, FireHydrant, or Blameless.
  • Comfort in working autonomously within a distributed team.

Preferred Skills:
Additional qualifications that would be advantageous include:

  • Knowledge of cloud and application security.
  • Strong understanding of cloud design patterns for scalability, data management, and resiliency.
  • A passion for high-quality work and a keen eye for testing.
  • Thoughts on dashboards, metrics, and SLOs.

Compensation:
The salary for this position ranges from $144,000 to $278,000, depending on geographic location and individual qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, Cribl offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health, dental, vision, short-term disability, life insurance, paid holidays, paid time off, a fertility treatment benefit, 401(k), equity, and eligibility for a discretionary company-wide bonus.
