We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team at Arkansas Urology as a Certified Sedation Registered Nurse. This role will involve providing exceptional patient care and administering conscious sedation in a procedural setting.
Key Responsibilities- Administer moderate sedation medications to achieve optimal patient outcomes under the direction of a qualified provider or attending physician.
- Verify patient information and procedure details prior to each procedure.
- Continuously evaluate patient needs and adjust care plans as required to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Start and manage IVs during procedures and assist physicians with patient management.
- Demonstrate knowledge of anatomy, physiology, cardiac arrhythmia recognition, and complications related to moderate sedation and medications.
- Assess total patient care requirements during moderate sedation and recovery, including respiratory rate, oxygen saturation, blood pressure, cardiac rate and rhythm, and patient level of consciousness.
- Anticipate and recognize potential complications of moderate sedation and apply nursing interventions in compliance with orders or clinical protocols.
- possess the required knowledge and skills to assess, diagnose, and intervene in the event of complications or undesired outcomes.
- Graduate from an accredited nursing program required, BSN highly preferred.
- Current Arkansas RN license required.
- Conscious Sedation Certification with at least one (1) year of experience in procedural/surgical setting required.
- ACLS required.
