Position Summary
The Technical Leader will spearhead projects with extensive technical scope and significant impact on the development of Dual Mode Ramjet and scramjet testing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities
In this pivotal role, you will:

  • Provide expert technical guidance to a team of engineers on all aspects of product design for the assigned propulsion systems.
  • Ensure that all component designs adhere to established requirements.
  • Collaborate with various interfacing organizations, including manufacturing, sourcing, services, global engineering, ATO, and systems engineering.
  • Support service programs, fulfillment, and New Product Introduction (NPI) initiatives.
  • Communicate project progress to stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Mentor and nurture the development of junior personnel.

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in aerospace, aeronautical, mechanical, or electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 7 years of experience in mechanical design, testing, or systems engineering.
  • At least 5 years of industry experience in aerospace and/or defense sectors.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Security Clearance up to the Secret level.
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time.

Preferred Qualifications
Ideal candidates will also have:

  • A Master’s degree in aerospace, aeronautical, mechanical, or electrical engineering.
  • Experience in developing and executing component or engine tests.
  • Expertise in high-speed combustion system design and testing.
  • Familiarity with novel combustion design and development.
  • Advanced skills in imaging and diagnostics for combustion systems.
  • The ability to effectively interface with all levels of a highly matrixed organization and external clients.
  • A strong mechanical design and analytical background.
  • Six Sigma training and familiarity with manufacturing processes.
  • A proven track record of driving projects to successful completion.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, along with strong interpersonal and leadership abilities.
