Diagnostic Imaging Technologist Opportunity

MLee Healthcare Staffing and Recruiting, Inc is seeking a skilled Diagnostic Imaging Technologist to join our team at a premier healthcare facility in North Alabama. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for conducting routine and portable x-ray exams, ensuring efficient operation of equipment and adherence to radiation safety, quality assurance, and infection control standards.

About the Position:
  • Conduct diagnostic imaging exams, utilizing your expertise to produce high-quality images for accurate diagnoses.
  • Assess diagnostic images for technical quality, ensuring they meet required standards.
  • Update patient details and examination records, adjusting exam descriptions as necessary to accurately reflect the procedures performed.
  • Efficiently use PACS, RIS, and EMR systems, completing all necessary documentation for each exam.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and functionality of imaging equipment, adhering to infection control guidelines.
  • Participate in continuing education and training to stay current with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide excellent patient care, applying correct body mechanics during transfers, lifting, and ambulation.
  • Ensure a valid Basic Life Support (CPR) certification.
  • Perform additional responsibilities as needed, upholding the organization's standards of behavior and code of conduct.
Education/Certifications/Licenses/Degrees:
  • Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program.
  • ARRT licensure within 1 year of hire.
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire.
