Job Title: Registered Respiratory Therapist

Location: Hackensack, NJ

Job Duration: 3 Months+

Shift: 6:45 PM - 7:15 AM, 3X12hr shifts. Every other weekend required. Holidays required.

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapist to join our team at Careers Integrated Resources Inc. As a key member of our respiratory care team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support in our hospital setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide respiratory therapy under medical direction, in the education, treatment, management, and diagnostic evaluation and care of patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies.
  • Perform intubation assistance and ventilator set-up and management.
  • Gather all necessary information to properly evaluate patient needs, including patient-specific disease education, testing, and consultations with other healthcare professionals.
  • Develop a rapport and mutual respect with patients, caregivers, and team members to foster an optimum environment in support of goal achievement.
  • Provide and document education to patients/caregivers based on identified needs in an understandable manner.
  • Perform other duties and/or projects as assigned.
  • Adhere to Client Organizational competencies and standards of behavior.
  • Lift a minimum of 5 lbs., push and pull a minimum of 5 lbs., and stand a minimum of 1 hour a day.
  • Regular contact with medical personnel and visitors.
Requirements:
  • Active NJ license required.
  • 1+ year of recent experience working as a licensed RRT required.
  • 1+ years of ICU experience required.
  • Previous experience with ventilators required.
  • BLS, RRT license required.
  • PALS and ACLS highly preferred.
  • Must be willing to float to adult ICU areas, intermediate care, and basic intermediate care floor.
