Position Overview:
As a Breast Imaging Specialist, you will work under general supervision to assess and implement care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing mammography and related procedures. Your responsibilities will include:
  • Evaluating patient needs by reviewing radiology requests, medical histories, and physician orders.
  • Assessing physical needs, analyzing diagnostic data, and conducting patient and family interviews.
  • Prioritizing imaging requirements for assigned patients and collaborating with healthcare team members to establish care priorities.
  • Identifying complex patient issues related to symptoms and abnormal diagnostic results.
  • Monitoring patient responses to procedural care and ensuring adherence to radiation safety protocols.
  • Maintaining continuity and quality of care through effective decision-making and ongoing patient assessments.

Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered for this role, candidates must:
  • Be a graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program and registered with the ARRT.
  • Have a minimum of two years of experience, including at least one year in mammography.
  • Possess advanced certification in Mammography.
  • Hold Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification in accordance with the American Heart Association.
