Nursing Assistant: Medical/Surgical and Orthopedic Unit

Job SummaryThe Nursing Assistant plays a vital role in our care team, providing supportive and compassionate care to our patients. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities- Assist the care team in providing age-specific care and ensuring a safe environment for patients and families.
- Communicate effectively with the healthcare team regarding patient progress, concerns, and questions.
- Perform various clinical skills as required by the assigned unit, including those outlined in the unit-based skill list.
- High school graduate or equivalent required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required within 90 days of hire or transfer.
- Successful completion of a State of Minnesota administered certification exam for nursing assistants or completion of one semester of clinical rotation within an accredited nursing program.
