Job Summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation is seeking a highly skilled Avionics/Electrical Technician II to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for testing, troubleshooting, and repairing aircraft systems to ensure safe and efficient flight operations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform technical expertise in testing aircraft systems, troubleshooting, and repairing system discrepancies to ensure minimum schedule impact.
  2. Implement process changes to reduce cost and meet schedule without compromising safety or quality.
  3. Install and functionally test electrical/avionics components and systems on aircraft per Engineering specifications, drawings, and maintenance manuals.
  4. Ensure quality and efficiency of all installations, troubleshoot processes/concepts to provide timely, quality repairs of malfunctioning systems.
  5. Repair or replace defective components and wiring to ensure installations meet conformity.
  6. Perform and comply with engineering changes and modifications as required.
  7. Set up and operate necessary test equipment, conduct functional and operational tests to evaluate performance and reliability.
  8. Ensure all work performed on the aircraft is properly and completely documented and ready for inspection.
  9. Test and maintain test equipment, electronic systems, and components.
  10. Comply with the company FOD program, tool control program, 5-S program, and all safety regulations.
  11. Adapt to sudden schedule changes.
Requirements
  1. High School Diploma or GED required.
  2. Four (4) years experience in an avionics/electrical career field, or two (2) years of accredited schooling in aviation electronics and two (2) years related experience.
  3. A&P (FAA Airframe and Powerplant) license preferred.
  4. Other FCC and NCATT preferred.
  5. Ability to read and interpret basic blueprints and schematic diagrams.
  6. Demonstrates excellent communication skills, must be able to communicate effectively both verbally and written.
  7. Must be able to climb stairs and ladders, work in confined areas, and lift up to 50 pounds.
