WOTM - Partners Professional is seeking a seasoned Procurement Director to lead our sourcing and procurement efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies that align with our business goals.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and Execute Procurement Strategies: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvement.
- Manage Supplier Relationships: Foster strong relationships with domestic and international suppliers, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality products.
- Lead Contract Negotiations: Utilize negotiation and contract management skills to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Oversee Global Sourcing: Develop and implement global sourcing strategies, with a focus on Latin America and agricultural regions.
- Ensure Compliance: Ensure all procurement operations comply with food safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with Operations, Finance, and Quality teams to ensure seamless integration and effective communication.
- Monitor Supplier Performance: Regularly assess supplier performance and implement improvements as needed.
- Lead and Develop the Procurement Team: Mentor and develop the procurement team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and knowledge to succeed.
- 10+ Years of Procurement Experience: Proven track record of success in procurement and supply chain management, with at least 5 years in leadership roles in food or agriculture.
- Bilingual in Spanish: Fluency in Spanish is required for effective communication with suppliers and stakeholders.
- Global Sourcing Experience: Proven experience in global sourcing and managing supplier networks.
- Negotiation and Contract Management Skills: Strong negotiation and contract management skills to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- Willingness to Travel: Ability to travel up to 50% for business purposes.
- Knowledge of Food Safety Regulations: Familiarity with food safety regulations and industry best practices.
- Experience in Food Manufacturing or Agricultural Production: Proven experience in food manufacturing or agricultural production.
- Relevant Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CPSM, CSCP, or APICS.
