Maintenance Technician Job Description

Metals USA is seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical systems and be able to perform routine maintenance and repairs on our equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Dismantles and reassembles machines to perform repairs and maintenance
  • Starts machines and observes operation to detect problems
  • Inspects and tests machine parts to determine repair needs
  • Lubricates and applies materials to machines and equipment
  • Records production and repair information
  • Collaborates with other workers to repair or move equipment

Requirements:
  • Vocational/Trade School education in electrical/mechanical work or equivalent experience
  • Basic measuring skills to read and convert English and Metric systems
  • Able to read and write, speak English
  • Minimum one (1) year experience in general maintenance repair work
