Security Officer III

This role involves performing complex security enforcement work, including monitoring and patrolling grounds, checking employees and visitors in and out of the facility, and inspecting and safeguarding buildings, properties, and equipment.

• Monitor and patrol grounds, checking employees and visitors in and out of the facility
• Inspect and safeguard buildings, properties, and equipment
• Maintain facility security and traffic control
• Check for contraband
• Work under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement
• May be required to work in excess of 40 hours per work week and be on-call

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• Level II or III security guard license issued by the Texas Department of Public Safety (preferred)
• Military police experience (preferred)
• Military experience (preferred)
• Experience in the use of firearms (preferred)

This position requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with frequent exposure to security risks and potential threats. The employee must be able to remain alert, observant, and physically able to respond appropriately to work situations or emergencies.
