Job Title: Travel Nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry

Tact Staff is seeking a skilled Travel Nurse RN Med Surg / Telemetry to join our team for a 13-week contract in Quincy, Illinois.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced Medical Surgical/Tele unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Med Surg/Tele and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to patients with a variety of medical conditions, including neuro-laminectomy, cervical fusion, LESI, belly surgery-ostomies, hernia repair, joint replacement-total hips/knees.
  • Administer medications, perform treatments, and provide wound care as needed.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of patient progress and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive and supportive work environment.
Requirements:
  • 1 year of experience in Med Surg/Tele with a strong background in total joint experience.
  • Understanding of PCA pumps, reversal drugs (narcan), sepsis management, and experience with TPN/Lipids.
  • Narcotic usage and ability to titrate drips (heparin).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with a high volume of patients.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
