Concrete Form Setter Position at Webber

We are seeking a skilled and experienced individual to fill the role of Concrete Form Setter at Webber. This position involves working outdoors and contributing to the construction of concrete structures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set forms to line and level based on construction plans and specifications
  • Collaborate with the survey team to establish stringlines for concrete paving and ensure accurate placement
  • Construct forms for concrete placement, ensuring proper alignment and stability
  • Conduct regular checks during the concrete pouring process to ensure quality and consistency
  • Assist in removing forms after concrete has set, and prepare the area for subsequent construction tasks
  • Install various materials for concrete structures, including reinforcement and finishing elements
  • Prepare for slip-forming of traffic rails and median barriers, ensuring precise alignment and smooth operation
  • Utilize hand and power tools for construction tasks, maintaining a high level of proficiency and safety
  • Perform other necessary duties as assigned by the project manager or supervisor

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred but not required)
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction, with a focus on road construction and concrete work
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and clients
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds, and work outdoors in various weather conditions
  • Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination, with the ability to operate hand and power tools safely and efficiently
