Job Overview

The ER Nurse Specialist is responsible for delivering primary nursing functions in assessing, planning, directing, and evaluating patient care in the Emergency Room. The role requires advanced clinical nursing knowledge and skills to ensure patient comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Plan, prioritize, and provide proficient age-specific and developmentally/specialty appropriate nursing care
  • Complete accurate and concise documentation on medical records
  • Observe and record signs, symptoms, and behaviors, including physiological status of patients
  • Present proposed revisions of interventions and desired outcomes
  • Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality
  • Follow physician orders in delivering nursing care
  • Collect laboratory samples and perform testing according to policies and procedures
  • Adhere to infection control, isolation procedures, and aseptic techniques
  • Perform admission, discharge, and transfer procedures
  • Participate in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • An Associate's Degree in Nursing (BSN preferred)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse without sanctions
  • At least 2 years of full-time RN experience in ER or comparable experience
  • BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association
  • ENPC certification from ENA may be substituted for PALS certification; TNCC certification preferred
Compensation and Benefits

The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on location and experience. We also offer benefits such as free CEUs, flexible scheduling, and opportunities for professional growth.
