The University Corporation at California State University, Northridge, is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Scholar to join our research team. As a key member of our convergence research team, you will lead the development and deployment of socio-technological solutions for Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC) communities and underserved patients with diabetes.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct literature reviews and identify methods to recruit people with diabetes from local community populations
- Collaborate with the Medtronic team to discern solution strategies and validate them through consultations with subject matter experts and participant feedback
- Lead and supervise a team of graduate and undergraduate students from CSUN in the ideation, design, and implementation of potential solutions
- Develop research thrusts and funding proposals to support grant funding
- Ph.D. in Health Sciences, Medical Anthropology, Gender Studies, Bioengineering, or a relevant field
- 1-2 years of relevant experience in a research environment
- Experience conducting fieldwork in underserved and under-resourced communities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in developing competitive grant proposals and presenting research findings
- Full-time position with a competitive salary range of $67,000-$75,000
