Job Overview

The Radiologic Technician I at Mount Sinai Health System is a dedicated professional who plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality patient care. This position involves conducting routine imaging examinations, supporting healthcare providers in daily clinical operations, and executing standard diagnostic protocols.

Key Responsibilities

1. Develops and oversees patient care tailored to individual needs.
2. Engages with patients to gather comprehensive medical histories and assess their physical conditions. Measures vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, temperature, and respiration rates.
3. Delivers basic care to patients.
4. Collaborates with physicians and registered nurses.
5. Maintains effective communication with patients and their families.
6. Prepares specimens for laboratory transport.
7. Administers medications, provides wound care, and prepares injections.
8. Ensures patient records are updated accurately and promptly. Monitors and documents patients' conditions and responses to treatments and medications.
9. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

Completion of an AMA accredited radiography program.

Experience:

A minimum of one year of experience in radiographic imaging is preferred.

Licensing and Certifications:

Certification as a Radiologic Technologist

Issuing Agency: State of New York

Certification in Radiology

Issuing Agency: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
