Job Summary:

The Clinical Neuropsychologist is responsible for delivering high-quality, culturally sensitive behavioral health services to clients of Fall River Health Services Behavioral Health Clinic Department. This includes completing neuropsychological and psychological diagnostic interviewing, psychological testing, consultation, report writing, and counseling services for individuals, families, and groups.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Provide patient-centered and trauma-informed care, developing trusting relationships with individuals and families.
  • Diagnose and treat emotional and behavioral disorders, utilizing individual and group therapy approaches.
  • Assess client risk, considering mental health and social needs when performing interventions.
  • Formulate and implement personalized interventions, treatments, and management plans in collaboration with other behavioral health providers.
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Experience in neuropsychology and psychoeducational assessment.
  • Experience in differential diagnosis of neurodevelopmental disorders.
  • Collaboration with other departments, including those involved in autism evaluations.
  • Administration and interpretation of common neuropsychological assessments.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with patients, parents, teachers, therapists, and medical professionals.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of client records in accordance with HIPAA.
Education and Experience:
  • A Doctoral degree in psychology (PhD or PsyD) is required.
  • Current licensure and board certification in psychology are necessary.
  • Experience in pediatric, adult, and geriatric neuropsychological assessment is preferred.
  • Highly developed ability in the administration, scoring, and interpretation of psychological tests.
  • Experience with PTSD-related therapies, such as CBT, Exposure therapy, and EMDR.

The average salary range for this position is $36.00-$43.00/hour, depending on years of experience.
